This month’s recommendations for Games/ Toys/ Video:
Hungry Hungry Hippos
Moms and Dads may remember this game from their childhood. Kids will have lots of fun playing this game, where the object is to see which hippo eats the most. A note to parents- this game is noisy.
Oragami Sea Life
Oragami, as many of you know, is the Japanese art of paper folding. Intermediate oragami fans will love this book, which shows you how to make all kind of interesting sea creatures.
Animal Planet Grizzly with Fish
The new line of stuffed animals from Animal Planet are very cute and lifelike. Children will have fun playing with this cuddly grizzly bear and any of the other stuffed animals in the Animal Planet line.
Backpack Pal: Tai
Backpack Pals come in a variety of animals. Tai, the tiger, is especially cute. Why have a normal, boring backpack when you can carry a wild animal on your back? These backpacks don’t hold a lot, so probably are not suitable for older kids who carry a lot of books around, but make great packs for kindergarteners and kids in lower grade levels.
Zoo Life with Jack Hanna: Zoo Babies
I love all of Jack Hanna’s videos. They are funny and informative, with lots of corny jokes your kids will love. This one focuses on cute and fuzzy zoo babies.
The Adventures of Milo and Otis
A great kids movie, narrated by Dudley Moore, about the wanderings of a cat and dog. This movie, though relatively new, is already a children’s classic.
